The Earl has spent his adult life managing the family estates. Educated at Eton, as Viscount Reidhaven, he was introduced into estate management well before the death of the Late Countess of Seafield in 1969. The Earl and Countess live at Old Cullen in Banffshire where Lord Seafield is very active in the management of the estate. The proprietor's flexible approach and his constant contact with estate employees and advisors allow the estate to be dynamic and decisions to be made rapidly. Viscount Reidhaven Lord Reidhaven was educated at Harrow. He has been connected with the music industry and lives largely in Kent. He is a trustee of The Reidhaven Trust. The Honourable Alexander Ogilvie-Grant Lord Seafield's younger son was educated at Eton. He has a degree in Psychology from Edinburgh University, and has been employed in business management in the entertainment industry in London and estate management in Scotland. With a strong commitment to the family estates, he lives in Edinburgh but spends considerable time at Strathspey throughout the year. Alexander Lewis, Chief Executive Sandy has a BA in Business and Administration from Strathclyde University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. He joined the estate in 1977 as Estate Accountant and since May 1996 has had responsibility for all the family enterprises. He has over-all control of the daily running of the corporate management structure supported by the Property Director, Forestry Director and the administration staff. Andrew Norval, Property Director Andrew joined the estate in 1985. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has a BLE in rural practice from Aberdeen University. Since May 1996 he has been responsible for all land and property matters including the management of the family farming operation and sporting. William Anderson, Forestry Director Will joined the management team in 2007. A member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters, Will is responsible for the management of all the family’s plantations, native and amenity woodlands. This includes all harvesting, establishment and maintenance operations and ensuring compliance with the UK Woodland Assurance Standard and relevant Statutory Legislation. . |
